| The Trantorian Empire is your typical soulless Evil Empire. The Trantorian Starfleet filled with good men doing evil's bidding. This is one of the political movers in my Stabase 600 PBEM game. Of course they need ships. Here we have the start of their most typical ships, the Battleship. |  |
| A Trantorian Battleship is a 5,000 foot long spindle with a ring shaped warp drive. Here I have cut the rocket tube to the proper length, fitted the nose cones and shaped the ring for the warp drive. Some detail is nice in any model and I have dug something from the part box for the bridge structure. There is a Bennie for anyone that knows what the part is. |  |
| And here is some of that detail. Six missle blisters to a side. Trantorian ships prefer to fight at long ranges with heavy anti-ship missles. Point defense disruptors shoot down missles aimed at you. I have also tapered the bridge back to a nice finish. |  |
| Here is a closeup of the blisters. Yes, they are what you think they are. It's the A-B-C deck from a classic Connie in 1/3900 scale, with the top sensor flattened out. No I didn't kill twelve minis to get the bridge hump. I killed one broken one and made a mold. Twelve copies later I have my missle blisters. The biggest problem casting these was the lack of size. Yes, it was too small to mix resin for. I used a few drops from other projects as I made them. |  |
